Potato Peel Broth
Using a paring knife, cut the peel plus ¼ inch off 3 medium sized organic
potatoes. Throw away the centers, as this is the acid part of the potato and
leaches minerals from the body.
Chop:
-
1 small onion
-
4 carrots
-
8 stalks of celery
-
1 sprig of fresh parsley
2 tsp Sea salt
Place all ingredients in a medium pot with 1 ½ quarts of water and simmer
for 20 minutes. Carrots should be tender but still firm in the center.
OPTIONS
1. Strain to make just a simple broth or a base for other soups.
2. Boil ½ cup of organic barley or organic wild rice with 2 cups water for
15 minutes, then add it in with above.
MORE INFO: Good for balancing the sodium potassium pump and alkalizing an acidic
system. This broth is excellent for anyone with stomach problems,
especially those going through Chemo or have a digestive cancer.
